Australia’s corporate regulator ASIC has this month announced that ASX has launched a two-year trial to speed up the listing process for companies using a “fast-track” IPO pathway and will facilitate:
Quicker listings: Eligible companies can move through the IPO process on a shorter timetable, improving market access and efficiency.
Near-final prospectus required: The Pathfinder prospectus must be almost identical to the final version, except for pricing and offer size.
Higher preparation standards: If the document isn’t in final form, the ASX may pause the review, delaying the listing.
Trial feedback: Participants will be asked to complete a short post-IPO survey to help the ASX evaluate the trial’s impact.
The initiative aims to make IPOs faster and more predictable, but it also raises the bar for upfront readiness and documentation quality.
