The Prospectus – Marketing Document or Compliance Necessity?

In Australia’s recent times, the focus on compliance requirements has improved the quality of prospectuses in Australian capital markets and this has provided retail investors with enhanced quality and surety when investing in initial public offerings.

Capital raisings through pre-IPO rounds to sophisticated investors has also assisted to de-risk the offerings at the eventual retail stage of the process.

The panel discussion was lively and free flowing today and aided by thoughtful questions from an audience of more than 50 guests at the InterContinental Melbourne. Panelists included Anton Whitehead and Simon Matison from Bell Potter Securities Limited, David Rodda, Partner at Quinert Rodda Lawyers and Rod North, Managing Director of Bourse Communications.

Our target audience is in capital markets and our guests included Directors, CFO’s, corporate lawyers, brokers, financial controllers, clients, referrers and advocates. Our ASX listed public company client BWX Ltd was featured in discussions as a case study.
